MODES:
Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable.
Cardinal modes are: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
Fixed modes are: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.
Mutable modes are: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces.
People born under Cardinal modes are the motivators. They like to get things moving. Those born under the Fixed modes are immovable and do not like to change. They are persistent and can become stubborn.
If you were born under a Mutable mode you are often changeable and tend to follow a zigzag course through life. You are flexible but inconsistent.
ELEMENTS: Fire, Earth, Air, Water.
Fire controls: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Earth controls: Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo.
Air controls: Libra, Aquarius, Gemini.
Water controls: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.
Fire represents go-getters who literally burn with energy and activity. Their drawback is that they use other people as their fuel and therefore leave people destroyed behind them.
Earth represents people who are solid and reliable and whose word is their bond. These people are very practical but sometimes indelicate. Their faults are that they are not enterprising and they cannot see far enough ahead.
Air people are guided by the air. These people have great ideas, are quite sociable and try to change their environment. Their main fault is that they can talk a lot of hot air.
Water represents people who tend to be a bit secretive and mysterious. They are respectful of others' ideas and feelings, are very sensitive and tend to pick up their environment's atmosphere. Their main drawback is that they can be wishy-washy.
