Try burying a silver coin (with a high silver content) and a drop of your blood in a clay pot. Then plant a shrub in the pot. Look after this scrub exceptionally well because your cash will dwindle if it grows, so will your money, but if it withers.

For gambling, rub s green candle with sandalwood oil, write with a red pen on a green piece of paper the object you are betting on (if it’s a lottery ticket, write down the ticket number), light the candle and burn the paper in the flame. 

Be sure to keep the candle in! Let it burn down completely, carry the stub of the candle and the ashes of the paper on your person, and place your bet. (Or take it until the lottery is drawn.)

A horseshoe is especially lucky if it is found on a road and a Grey mare has cast it. A silver shoe on a charm bracelet also is fortunate. Usually, horseshoes are nailed up over a doorway to ward off evil, and the majority of people insist that the points must be upwards so that the shoe forms a “u” and the luck does not spill or run out.

Evil tidings in one quarter, an omen of disaster in another, yet all witches know “black cat arrives, good fortune thrives.”

A visit from a tri-coloured cat will bring good luck. If you petition it to stay, magic paths will open for you.

When you see a frog in early morning spring, creep up behind it and gently stroke its back with your finger. You will know true love before the snow flies.

When your luck is down, wear a diamond. It overcomes adversity and, if worn on the left side, helps to calm wild beasts and teenagers. Topaz increases wealth. Wear it when buying lottery tickets or betting.

You will be wealthy if your eyebrows grow together or your arms are hairy. 

If there is a mole on your neck, it means money by the peck.

Money will also come your way if you bury a coin in a deep hole and leave it there or put a 50-cent piece in each of your shoes on New Year's Day and leave it there until Easter if you have dreams about clear water or lots of fish.

If your upper lip itches, you will be kissed by someone tall; if your lower lip itches, you will be kissed by someone short. And if both lips itch simultaneously, it means you are in for a bit of financial luck.
