Flaming candles:

Although the flickering flame of a burning candle is not very accurate, it can tell you if your surroundings are good or bad. Choose a place where the candle cannot be blown out, put three candles (same colour and size) in a triangle and light them. If one flame burns brighter than the others, you’ll have a piece of good luck. If any of the candles go out, you’ll have bad luck. If the flames move in a circular motion, enemies plot against you. If a candle sparks, enemies surround, watch out for you. But if it is a steady flame, all is well.

 Placing a red candle under the Christmas tree will bring prosperity and a year of plenty to the family. Lighting candles on birthday cakes brings good luck, and health and wishes will be performed if the candles are blown out in one blow. This is the only time candles should be blown out. Burning a pink or red candle on St Valentine’s day brings you true love or helps to keep your true love.

To bring back a lover, place a photo of them next to a burning red candle at your front door. A candle that has gone out accidentally means a wedding or a birth soon. White candles are burnt at weddings for a long and happy life together. To make a lover return get a red candle and engrave your name and your desired name on the candle towards the bottom. Let the candle burn down and out. 

To reclaim a lover's affection, place two pins through the wick of a burning candle as you say your lover's name. Light a green candle at the new moon for money. If you have trouble lighting a particular candle, throw rock salt or sea salt over it and try another candle. A medieval belief is that placing a lighted candle between a goat's horns will conjure up the devil.

To receive messages from your spirit guides on the night of a full moon into a large pot, throw a handful of sand (preferably from the ocean), one tiger eye stone and some charcoal. And wave some sandalwood or frankincense incense over it. Light a mauve candle and ask your guides for help. Place a notepad and pen beside the bed and jot down your dream. Your messages should appear over the next week.

Burn an orange candle each morning on waking. If the practice is not kept up, a loss can occur. Also, a blue and orange candle burned on Monday; good fortune will befall you. A yellow and a green candle burned at sunset will ensure happiness in love. Burn a yellow and a brown candle for good luck.

A yellow and a blue candle burned one hour before going to court will have the judge decide in your favour. A green and purple candle will cure illness in the near or distant relative when burned five nights in a row beginning on a Monday. A red and a black candle burned together will bring sickness to an enemy. Deep, bright green candles are used to prevent financial loss and disaster. Also, combined with red or gold contains a lover’s disloyalty.

A blue and lime candle promotes pregnancy, and a blue candle and black cause arguments between lovers and also cause impotence. An old Irish saying is, “if a candle falls and breaks in two, double trouble will come to you!”

If a candle suddenly goes out by itself, your spirit guides are trying to contact you. To dream of white candles burning is an omen of true love heading your way. Two white candles mean a marriage proposal.  To dream of red candles is passion and desire. If a candle flame is, good blue spirits surround you. A tall, straight flame means deceased loved ones are watching over you. Placing lighted candles in pumpkins at Halloween keeps terrible spirits from your door. 

A green candle anointed with bay oil and burned down will bring good fortune. When moving into a new home, light white candles and sandalwood incense in each room before moving in. this cleanses the house of negativity.

Another way to cleanse and bless a house is about half an hour before midnight, get a white candle and place one in each room, unplug the phone turn off all electrical appliances; the entire house should be quiet and still. Light the candles, Sprinkle sea salt or rock salt around the outside of the house, light some sandalwood incense, and walk around the house and in every room saying.

“spirits of light, love, and wisdom protect this house and all that comes in it.” 

Sit down and relax for a few minutes. Suppose you hear anything get up and walk around the house again, saying the above verse. The spirits and negativity have left if you don’t hear anything after the second time. In the morning, sweep the salt away from the front and back doors outwards from the entrance, which sweeps away evil forces.

To remove bad luck and curses from home. Get a yarrow plant and throw it in the fireplace if you don’t have a fireplace, then throw out the plant and tie it with cotton into a long bundle, light the end and wave it around the house, making a six-pointed star as you go saying

“spirits of light love and wisdom bring love and laughter into this home and remove the curse.”

to stop thieves from entering your home while you are on holiday take a red silk bag 

before using an,y candle in a ritual or spell, it should be unbroken clean, anointed with oil or placed on a crystal for at least 24 hours before use. 

Orange- to lift spirits

Red- for motivation

Blue- for tranquillity

Violet for imagination

Turquoise- for confidence

Mint Green- to nurture ideas
