Witchcraft, or ways of the wise.

In its simplest form, the study of witchcraft is learning to understand nature and thread its paths with confidence.

The practice and theory of witchcraft is possible to those who can truly believe and to them it becomes an unsurpassable art in which nature is neither servant nor master but an ally in whose harmony all things can be achieved.

Now at last the winds of change are blowing and the old ways, with their omens and superstitions, are being rediscovered and examined along with an appreciation of the value of candles, cards and charms in the practice of our craft.

A word about spirits..

I am not inclined to interfere with ghosts, but sometimes they have passed a message to me which needs to be passed on. It seems to upset the spirits if the people they leave behind are left in any doubt as to what their real wishes are.

When a medium is strong enough ectoplasm appears – a smoke-like phenomenon that emanates from the medium and separates into a shape. This has happened in the developing circle where mediums meet regularly to consolidate and intensify their power. A circle is a meeting place between the two worlds, a neutral ground.

Quite often when you open the circle, it is seen as a light for the troubled dead to move forward to make contact with the living. When people die suddenly they are sometimes unaware or their demise and need to be released from their earthly bond. In some of the circles I have sat in, we have seen some horrifying spirits walking towards us though nothing on the other side can hurt you because you are still in your own realm, the realm of the living. But you can see ghosts after a while.

When you are in a developing circle among experienced sitters, there is no emptiness, every seat and space is filled, and usually with beautiful things, Animals, birds and loved ones abound. Nothing is ever lost, but remains there, on a higher plane of existence.
